Voluntary Device Installment

Voluntary car breathalyzers (ignition interlock devices) can be installed in any vehicle to prevent drunk driving.

ignition-interlock

Ignition interlock devices, also known as car breathalyzer devices, prevent a driver from starting their vehicle after consuming alcohol. As their use has grown nationwide, cars with breathalyzers have dramatically cut down on the number of alcohol-related traffic fatalities. Though most often installed following a DUI, OWI or DWI as a requirement from the court or Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), ignition interlock devices can be installed voluntarily into any vehicle to prevent drunk driving.
